Nicky Hayden tribute bike by Analogue Motorcycles

As a tribute to the late, great Nicky Hayden, American custom bike builders ‘Analogue Motorcycles’ have built this incredibly cool Honda XR650L flat track racer with help from the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association).

The bike has been built in homage to Hayden as he will be inducted into the AMA hall of fame. The bike represents ‘The Kentucky Kid’s’ grass roots in motorcycle racing, which saw him taking on the dirt oval at speed in excess of 140mph, sideways that is…

The bike is far from original, featuring a bespoke fuel tank, seat unit and mudguards. Plus, a completely modified subframe. At the heart of the bike, the 650cc engine has been fitted with a reworked intake manifold, a Keihin FCR1 carb and de-smog kit removal to make the engine breathe correctly. The bike rides on a set of 19” sun rims and slick Dunlop DT3 tyres.

To put the cherry on top, the paint on the bike is tribute Hayden’s 2002 AMA Honda RC51 (VTR1000 SP1). The bike is therefor a fitting tribute to the life and career of a Honda racing legend.
